
Danube ICT Clusters’ sustainable cooperation for smart and inclusive growth - Strategic ICT Clusters’ Meeting
The strategic ICT Clusters’ Meeting will take place on February 18th and-19th 2016, at Art Hotel Belgrade, Serbia. The meeting is organized under the framework of the DANUBE ICT Project, financed by START program of Danube Strategy of the EC.
The aim of the Strategic ICT Clusters’ meeting is to increase regional cross- cluster, cross-industry and cross-border collaboration. The event will be attended by representatives of ICT Clusters, members of the Balkan and Black Sea ICT Clusters Network. During the event participants will have opportunity to discuss best practices and to share knowledge and experiences on cross-cluster and cross-industry collaborations in their clusters and regions.
Special quests of the meeting are: Mr. Mohammed Al Hammadi, founder and Chief Executive of InvestSource and Mr. Sebastiano Toffaletti, Alliance Secretary General of Digital SME Alliance - The European Voice of High Tech SME.

The Balkan and Black Sea ICT Clusters Network is a bottom-up initiative that reunites some of the most important cluster initiatives in the ICT sector from this macro-region. Currently the Network includes 17 organizations from all countries in the Balkan and Black Sea Region. Our aim is to create new business opportunities for cluster members, to open new markets and to build bridges for cross-border and cross-industry collaborations.

Meeting of the leading partners of the projects funded under the START programme of the Danube Strategy
On 26th of January, 2016 a meeting of the leading partners of the projects funded under the START programme of the Danube Strategy was held in Vienna, Austria.
Mr. Peter Statev and Ms. Anna Naydenova participated at the event. ICT Cluster is a leading partner of the DANUBE ICT project, which main objective is the creation of sustainable, strategic trans-national partnership among ICT Clusters from the Balkans and the Danube region by establishing a common strategy for cross - cluster and cross-industrial cooperation in a favor of SMEs.
Partners in the project are: Foundation ICT Cluster, Cluj IT Cluster, Vojvodina ICT Cluster, and Montenegrin IT Cluster. All members of the Balkan and Black Sea ICT Clusters Network will be actively engaged in the process of suceesful project implementation.

На 11 Декември 2015 г. на официална церемония в зала „Тържествена” бяха връчени дипломите на петия випуск от специалност „Предприемачество” на УНСС.

Representatives of ICT Cluster took part in the opening of Sofia Tech Park
The First Science and Technology Park in Bulgaria opened Its doors with official ceremony on 10 – 11 December 2015.
The park was inaugurated during a two-day forum dedicated to innovation support policies and the role of science and technology parks for the creation of a knowledge-based economy.
The opening ceremony of the park was attended by: Mr. Rosen Plevneliev, President of the Republic of Bulgaria; Mr. Andrej Kiska, President of the Slovak Republic; Mr. Boyko Borissov, Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria; Mr. Horst Seehofer, Minister-President of Bavaria; Ms. Corina Crețu, the European Commissioner for Regional Development; Mr. Bozhidar Loukarsky, Minister of Economy of the Republic of Bulgaria and Ms. Elitsa Panayotova, CEO of Sofia Tech Park.
Within the event were organized specialized panels devoted to policies and funds for innovation and entrepreneurship support, ICT and cyber security, food and biotechnology, the role of science and technology parks, research and technology transfer, business incubators and etc..
Ms. Anna Naydenova, Executive Director of the ICT Cluster moderated the panel “ICT and cyber security”, where were made speeches and presentations by: Dr. Gregory Edwards - Director Infrastructure services, Communications and Information Agency of NATO; Colonel Vasil Rusinov – Director of Center of Exellence Crisis Management and Development and disaster response, Mr. Ivaylo Georgiev, Cyber Security Lab at T+IN and Member of the Board of ICT Cluster, Dr. Dimo Chotrov, Virtual and Augmented reality Lab at T+IN, Bulgarian and Slovak companies

Bulgarian Technology Cluster Codia became member of ICT Cluster Society
The General Assembly of ICT Cluster approved Cluster Codia as a member of ICT Cluster Society.
Bulgarian Technology Cluster Codia is a community of small IT companies gathered in one organization with a unified brand and business processes.
With a team of more than 50 people unified along common business processes and qualification standards Codia supports all experts needed for the successful execution of a project observing all corporate standards, still preserving the flexibility of a small business.

Third meeting of the Balkan and Black Sea ICT Clusters’ Network
The third meeting of the Balkan and Black Sea ICT Clusters’ Network was held on 27th November 2015, in Skopje, FYR of Macedonia. The meeting was hosted by MASIT and REG USAID project. Review of the ICT Cluster chairmanship was made and the new chairman organization of the network was elected. All partners supported the election of Cluj IT Cluster as a new chairman organization of 2016. The next meeting of the Network will be in Belgrade, in the second half of February 2016.

Started project Danube ICT Clusters' Cooperation for smart and inclusive growth - DANUBE ICT
On December 1, 2015 the project Danube ICT Clusters' Cooperation for Smart and Inclusive Growth - DANUBE ICT has started, leading by ICT Cluster.
The project duration is six months till and it is funded by the European Commission and the Danube Strategy. The main objective of DANUBE ICT is the creation of sustainable, strategic trans-national partnership among ICT Clusters from the Balkans and the Danube region by establishing a common strategy for cross - cluster and cross-industrial cooperation in a favor of SMEs.

EXPO COMM Russia
ICT Cluster is a partner to the EXPO COMM Russia. The event will take place on April 19-21, 2016 Moscow, Russia.

Проведе се Forum of Advanced technologies в Ниш, Сърбия
Представители на Български клъстер телекомуникации – г-ца Милена Терзиева, Клъстерен координатор и г-н Севдалин Станев, Изпълнителен директор – присъстваха на Forum of Advanced technologies, който се проведе на 13 – 14 октомври в Нишкия университет, гр. Ниш, Сърбия. Събитието беше организирано от Службата за местно икономическо развитие в партньорство с Нишки клъстер за напреднали технологии (NiCAT) и факултетът по електроника към Нишкия университет.
Форумът беше официално открит от Ректора и Декана на Нишкия университет, Представители на министерството на икономиката и на Службата за местно икономическо развитие. Форумът беше организиран в три панела, чиято основна цел беше да се разкрие потенциала на нишкия регион за развитие, образование и инвестиция в областта на напредналите технологии. Панелите бяха последвани и от дискусии от заинтересованите страни.
По време на форумът в сградата на факултетът по електроника имаше и изложение, на което присъстваха над 50 местни компании, работещи в сферата на високите технологии, 10 образователни институции и големи инвеститори в региона.
Industrial panel on the topic of Financing projects and innovative products of startup companies and SMEs in the field of energy efficiency
Ms. Krasimira Shindarova, project assistant at ICT Cluster participated at industrial panel on the topic of Financing projects and innovative products of startup companies and SMEs in the field of energy efficiency.
The event that took place on 29th September 2015, Hotel Hilton Sofia, was organized by Sofia Tech Park as a part of the Science and Technology Park project
Key topics of the event were: business development and shared practical experience in the commercialization of innovative products of Bulgarian companies and european business development initiatives – business accelerators and venture capital funds
The event gave the companies an opportunity to gain practical experience related to the preparation and realization of projects, financed by business accelerators and venture capital funds. In addition. During the event were presented the expertise and capacity of companies and organisations from the energy efficiency sector and also present the infrastructural capacity of the science and technology park in Sofia, which will be made available to companies and research teams working in this field.
Advanced Technologies Forum - Nis, Serbia
Mr. Sevdalin Stanev, Executive Director of Bulgarian Cluster Telecommunication and Executive Director of Loren Networks and Ms. Milena Terzieva, Coordinator Bulgarian Cluster Telecommunication will visit Advanced Technologies Forum – potentials of the City of Niš. The event is organized by The City of Niš, in partnership with coorganizers Regional Chamber of Commerce, Faculty of Electronic Engineering of the University of Niš, National Employment Service and Niš Cluster of Advanced Technologies NiCAT, together with 25 partner economic and scientific-educational institutions and organizations. The forum will took place at the Faculty of Electronic Engineering of the University of Niš on 13th and 14th October 2015.
During the two-day Forum, whose main sponsor is Telekom Srbija, the following events will be organized: three expert panels, a two-day exhibition of economic, scientific, educational and institutional resources of the City of Niš, a one-day specialized employment and professional orientation fair and a series of other accompanying activities in the area of advanced technologies.
