ICT Cluster’s position on the Procedure "Supporting Micro and Small Enterprises in Addressing the Economic Impact of the COVID-19 Pandemic"

ICT Cluster submitted its’ position on the Managing Authorities on procedure "Supporting micro and small enterprises to overcome the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic", saying that it was opposed to relocating funding from the Operational Program “Innovation and Competitiveness”.

Foundation “Cluster Information and Communication Technologies” is not opposed to the new measure aimed at supporting micro and small businesses, but believes that the decision to redirect OPIC funds is wrong and would be far more reasonable to do so by programs with lower multiplier effect. We believe that during the upcoming months and even years, investment in innovation would help to recover the economy from the crisis and give our country a leading position in the region. In the conditions of economic recovery and numerous processes of transformation in the regional and world economy, Bulgaria can continue its development only along the path of innovation.
