ICT Cluster представи WeldWise на Danube DNA Digital Transformation Expo в Будапеща
ICT Cluster Presented WeldWise at the Danube DNA Digital Transformation Expo in Budapest
On 13 May 2026, the final event of the Danube DNA project – Digital Transformation Expo took place in Budapest, bringing together project partners, representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises, experts and organisations supporting digital transformation across the Danube Region.
The event presented the main results of the project, including the development of the Danube DNA Network, the B2GreenHUB digital platform, the pilot activities and the jointly developed technological solutions. Special attention was given to practical tools that can support companies in their digitalisation journey, improve efficiency and enable better management of production processes.
As part of the showcased solutions, ICT Cluster, together with its technological partner COMICON, presented WeldWise – a modular digital system for monitoring production processes and energy consumption in an industrial environment.
The solution was developed in a real production environment at EDE16 in the town of Ardino and was later implemented and pilot tested at MDC, a Sofia-based manufacturing company. This approach allowed WeldWise to be validated under practical conditions and adapted to the needs of different industrial enterprises.
During the exhibition part of the Danube DNA Digital Transformation Expo, ICT Cluster hosted a dedicated stand where WeldWise was presented together with representatives of COMICON, MDC and EDE16. The stand attracted the interest of more than 25 visitors, including project partners, business representatives and organisations from different countries in the Danube Region.
The event was also attended by the associated partner Municipality of Ardino, represented by Deputy Mayor Nedzhmi Hodzhov. The participation of the Municipality of Ardino highlighted the importance of connecting local economies, industrial enterprises and the opportunities created by European projects for introducing innovation and digital solutions beyond major economic centres.
WeldWise was developed with a focus on the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises looking for a practical, accessible and adaptable solution for collecting, visualising and analysing operational data directly from production equipment. The system enables the monitoring of machine activity, production events, energy consumption and key performance indicators in real time.
The pilot implementation demonstrated the potential of WeldWise to reduce manual reporting, improve visibility over production processes and support more informed decision-making by company management.
ICT Cluster’s participation in the Danube DNA Digital Transformation Expo was an important opportunity to present the Bulgarian contribution to the transnational cooperation within the project and to share practical experience from the development and implementation of digital solutions for industry.
