Silicon Eurocluster

September 01, 2022 - February 28, 2025

Silicon Eurocluster

The Silicon Eurocluster project aims to achieve European self-sufficiency, with increased competitiveness and resilience in the electronics value chain.

Silicon Eurocluster wants to place Europe in a leading position in development and production of Micro- and Nanoelectronics (key enabling technologies) by harnessing the teamwork of existing high-potential clusters in Spain, Portugal, France, Italy, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Sweden, and the Netherlands.

Focused on SMEs, Silicon Eurocluster project will be centered around 5 main domains:

  • Network for resilience: mapping of European value chains in the electronics sector, analysis of market trends, elaboration of business continuity / resilience plans
  • Training: training of cluster staff on green transition applied to electronics sectors; distribution of “Green vouchers” to selected SMEs
  • Internationalisation: organisation of joint booths/pavilions in international fairs, exploring new international partnerships
  • Innovate: organisation of open innovation sessions between large entities for micro/electronics sector and SMEs
  • Adopt: cascade funding targeting SME from the electronics sector via « innovation vouchers » for validating the deployment (demonstration / prototype) of electronics solutions in less digitalised sectors.

Silicon Eurocluster will mobilise more than one million euros via open calls (2023) that will give access to cascade funding to SMEs.
